Run by the CCN Malandain Ballet Biarritz and supported by the town of Biarritz, the Biarritz International Dance Academy welcomes 350 students from all walks of life for a week each year at the beginning of August. Classical classes, pointe classes, adage, barre à terre, boys' classes, repertoire classes, Beamish Body Mind Balancing* and adult amateur classes. To register, students must fill in the online registration form on HelloAsso and pay online by providing all the required documents. There are no classes for beginners; a minimum of two years' dance experience is required. From age 10 upwards.
In its 30 years of existence, the Académie Internationale de Danse de Biarritz has remained an established force in the transmission of academic dance in France. It offers access to top-quality classical dance teaching, with all the main dance movements represented: the French school with the Opéra national de Paris, the Russian school with the Bolshoi, the Kirov and the Académie Vaganova, the Cuban school, etc. Workshops on offer: Jiri Kylian, Jean-Christophe Maillot, Johan Inger, Nacho Duato, William Forsythe, Thierry Malandain....
Reception, dance shops, catering, boarding and certain courses are located at the Lycée hôtelier Atlantique 2 Rue Francis Jammes, 64200 Biarritz. Some courses take place right next to the high school in the rooms of the “FAL” sports complex. You can benefit from accommodation at the internship location.
